Invisalign is simply a brand name for clear aligners—much like Kleenex is for tissues. Instead of using Invisalign, we design and fabricate all of our clear aligners in-house using advanced 3D printing technology right here in our Las Vegas office. This gives Dr. Benson full control over aligner design, more precise customization, and faster turnaround times—we can even print new aligners same-day when needed. It also means cost savings for our patients by eliminating outside lab fees. Like other clear aligners, ours are virtually invisible, removable for eating and brushing, and highly effective for straightening teeth. Absolutely! We encourage our patients to stay active. We recommend wearing a mouthguard to protect your braces and teeth during physical activities. We can provide you with an orthodontic mouthguard specifically designed for use with braces—it's more comfortable than standard mouthguards and offers excellent protection.

To protect your braces, avoid hard foods (ice, nuts, hard candy, popcorn kernels), sticky foods (caramel, taffy, gum), and chewy foods (bagels, licorice). With clear aligners, you can eat whatever you like—just remove your aligners first!

Initially, you'll wear your retainer full-time (except when eating) for several months. After that, most patients transition to nighttime wear only.
