Even though you may have been able to smile, frown, laugh, and make other facial expressions without concern when you were younger, you may now be realizing that the facial wrinkles caused by these expressions are staying, even after your face has relaxed. These lines are actually called dynamic wrinkles and they're caused by the overuse of the facial muscles that makes them stay contracted, forming etched lines in the skin. Xeomin is an injectable wrinkle relaxer that, like BOTOX, temporarily relaxes the facial muscles with a strain of purified botulinum so your skin appears smoother and softer. At The Art of Braces in Las Vegas, NV, Dr. Saoly Benson performs Xeomin nonsurgical wrinkle relaxing treatments. Arrange for a consult with Dr. Saoly Benson for more information about Xeomin.

"Amazing orthodontic care ✔️ Incredibly kind doctor and staff ✔️ Beautiful aesthetic office environment ✔️ Needless to say, we have absolutely loved our experience with Art of Braces! A year ago our pediatric dentist gave us a heads-up that our daughter had a crossbite, a very small mouth and a good deal of crowding and that we'd want to schedule a consultation with an orthodontist for early orthodontic intervention. We then scheduled a consultation with Art of Braces and a few other (very popular) orthodontists in town. After attending all the consultations we knew that Art of Braces was the place for us. Not only is Dr. Benson is incredibly knowledgeable but she is so kind. She answers any questions that we have, she takes her time with her patients and she has never talked "down" to either my daughter or I. While other orthodontists in town jumped right into recommending thousands of dollars worth of "round one" braces, Dr. Benson was forthright and said that she believed my young daughter's current orthodontic needs could be solved with an expander (and one set of braces a few years in the future.) She was right. My daughter's crossbite and crowding are no longer an issue. She's now has room for her adult teeth to grow in and has a centered (though currently half toothless 😉) smile. Dr. Benson's staff is also fantastic! You can tell that Januari, the office manager, knows what she's doing. She is helpful, kind and answered allllll of our consultation questions! Allison, the scheduling coordinator, is just so stinking nice and easy to work with! (I want to be her friend.) Marlou, who has been our orthodontic assistant at almost every appointment, is incredible!! She sent my daughter a letter after her final expander check with encouragement from the tooth fairy - I mean how sweet is that?! On to the office environment. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the aesthetic experience of The Art of Braces. Dr. Benson is not only a orthodontist but also a fantastic photographer. The Art of Braces is basically an art gallery with orthodontic equipment in it. Truly. There are hug glass landscape photos on every wall. You just feel like you can take a deep breath when you walk inside. (With your mask on, of course, because we're still living in 2020 😉). Her photography is absolutely stunning. On the note of coronavirus - The Art of Braces has gone above and beyond to keep the patients and staff safe during this pandemic. I am incredibly grateful for the detail and standard of care that they display. I feel safe in their office, and we can't say that about most places right now. I know that this may be a drawback for some but it was really a selling point for us - other orthodontists entice kids to their offices with "prizes" and incentives and video games in the lobby...The Art of Braces doesn't do that, but it's because they don't have to. I feel like their office offers an excape from consumerism and a chance for all patients to simply be present. (But they do have snacks that you can grab on the way out ❤️). My daughter doesn't need to feel the pressure of "competing" for a prize or the temporary "high" of "winning" a "reward" and can simply appreciate the fact that her teeth are being cared for. Quality and minimalism are very important to me and The Art of Braces is a place where that is beautifully reflected and mirrored to my daughter. All of that to say - we are so grateful to have found The Art of Braces and would 10/10 recommended Dr. Benson and her staff for all your orthodontic needs! ✨"- A.M. / Google / Jul 30, 2020
"After searching for an Orthodontist online, I stumbled across The Art of Braces on Instagram. Their Instagram page is awesome, it really shows exactly what the clinic is like and who the staff members are. There are numerous videos that discuss orthodontics, as well as progress photos of some patients. There are also great photos that Dr. Benson takes, which shows she really is an artist! After finding their Instagram, I was really excited to schedule an appointment for a consultation. When scheduling my appointment, the process was so easy. All paperwork was completed online, so I filled everything out prior to my appointment. They also have a texting system, so you can text back and forth with the staff which is so convenient!I had my consultation yesterday, and I can’t express how excited I am to come back to start my treatment! The office is beautiful and clean, Januari is so nice, and Dr. Benson is very knowledgable and has great bedside manner. She really cares about you and it really shows. Dr. Benson discussed my couple options regarding braces, and I expressed some of my anxieties. Dr. Benson calmed my nerves and told me the details of what the treatment will be and how it really isn’t a big deal. Once I decided on a treatment plan, Januari walked me through the finance details. Their clinic offers their own payment plan, but they also work with companies like Care Credit if you’d prefer that as well.I cannot wait to start my treatment with Dr. Benson, I am so happy I found her! It’s also a plus that their clinic is so close to me, but seriously I would drive far to this clinic for their care."- S.L. / Yelp / Jun 11, 2020
Xeomin helps to diminish the look of dynamic wrinkles on the face, including frown lines, forehead lines, Crow's feet, plus smile and laugh lines. Ideal candidates for Xeomin are in good overall health, are not currently pregnant, and have never had an allergic reaction to any other botulinum toxin products, including BOTOX and Dysport. Speak with Dr. Benson at your consultation about your medical history, current medications, and your aesthetic goals so she can create a Xeomin treatment plan that is specific to you.
What to Expect
Xeomin injections typically last under 30 minutes beginning to end and can be completed after your consultation. The parts of the face receiving treatment will be sterilized before Xeomin is gently injected with a fine needle. The procedure is fast and generally does not cause great discomfort so local anesthesia is not necessary but available upon request. Cold compresses and pressure will be applied to the treatment site to prevent minor bleeding before you leave.
You will be permitted to leave our facility after receiving your Xeomin injections to return to your daily activities; however, vigorous exercise should be skipped until the next day. We may recommend that you sleep in a slightly elevated position and apply cold compresses as needed to expedite recovery and results. Following a Xeomin treatment, you may experience some bruising, swelling, and redness near the treatment areas, but this is no cause for concern and can be easily covered up with makeup. Many individuals notice visible improvements 3 – 4 days following their Xeomin treatment lasting approximately three months. Repeat injections at The Art of Braces can be arranged to optimize your results.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does Xeomin cost?
The cost of your Xeomin treatment will depend on the number of injections needed to address your unique concerns. During your consultation, you should share your goals with Dr. Benson so your treatment plan can be created and then your cost can be estimated. The Art of Braces accepts many forms of payment and frequently has specials on injectable treatments, like Xeomin.
Should I get Xeomin or BOTOX?
Xeomin is different from BOTOX and other injectable wrinkle relaxers because it only contains one ingredient (botulinum toxin A) and does not contain any additives, which lessens the chances of building antibodies against the medication. You should not use Xeomin with other botulinum products. During your consultation, Dr. Benson can determine the best injectable wrinkle relaxer for you and your cosmetic goals.
Is Xeomin FDA approved?
Xeomin is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for cosmetic uses. Based on two U.S. clinical trials, Xeomin is a safe and effective treatment for adults with cervical dystonia, blepharospasm, facial lines, wrinkles, and folds. It has been widely used for decades and is a very popular treatment worldwide.
Who cannot get Xeomin?
Medications, such as cold and allergy medication, muscle relaxers, sleeping aids, and urinary medications can increase the chance of Xeomin’s side effects. You should let Dr. Benson know during your first visit if you are currently using any blood thinners or antibiotics.
How do I maintain my results from Xeomin?
Xeomin injections have a temporary effect and are given months apart. During your consultation, be sure to ask Dr. Benson about how often you should visit The Art of Braces for touch-ups.
